353. Rabbi Chiya quotes, "And the sister of Tuval Kayin {Tubal Cain} was Naamah. And Rabbi Shimon replied, It is because people were seduced by her, and by spirits and demons through her. And Rabbi Yitzchak said that the sons of Elohim, Aza, and Azael were seduced by her.
354. Rabbi Shimon said that she was the mother of demons, being of the same lineage as of Kayin {Cain}, and that which sprung up from that along with Lilith, she is responsible for the epileptic deaths of babies. And Rabbi Aba said to him: but sir, she {Naamah} was charged only with seducing men. Rabbi Shimon responded, that is precisely correct. Because she seduced men, and bore spirits into the world, she still persists in her seductive work in the world unto this day.
355. Rabbi Aba asked him: but since those demons die like human beings, how can you say that she {Naamah} has survived up to this day? He said unto him that this is true. Lilith and Naamah, and Iggeret the daughter of Machalat, who sprung from their side will continue to live on, until the Holy One, blessed be He, burns those unclean spirits of lawless wickedness from off the earth. Thus it is written: "I will cause the unclean spirits to pass out of the land" {Reference in Zechariah 13:2}
356. Rabbi Shimon said: Woe be unto the sons of man, for they are not aware, and they do not take heed, nor do they search for true knowledge. They are all blindfolded, and they do not know how filled to the full that the world is with those strange, wicked, invisible creatures, and many other things unknown unto the children of men. If permission were granted by the Holy One, blessed be He, and sight was given unto the eyes of mankind to be enabled to see the invisible world, people world stark be terrified, and amazed as they would wonder greatly as to how it is even possible anyone can survive in this world.
357. Come, and behold: this Naamah is the mother of demons. From her side originate all those demons who sexually arouse men, and cause them to absorb the spirits of lust from them, as they seduce them, and eventually cause them to release their semen for in vain by their various means. And since this wastage of semen is spilled by, and comes from the enticements of wicked succubus night feminine demon spirits, men must wash their spirits of defilement.
