She was controlled by the ancient demonic spirit of Athaliah who killed all her grandchildren who stood to inherit the kingdom to sit upon the throne in Israel after their Father was killed in the line of duty.
This demon possessed Athaliah killed all her sons children, her own grandsons all but one.
God always keeps his word, that to David the King of Israel there would not fail to be a ruler in Israel and Judah from his lineage.
Is God a liar? Nope he is not! G-d preserved the last grandson whom that evil grandmother failed to destroy.
Though she reigned for a number of years, she was eventually put to death for her horrendous wickedness in murdering the King of Israel, her sons children so she could rule instead of them.
